Denture Options Tailored to Your Needs With Partial Dentures, Full Dentures, and Implant Supported Dentures
Our dentist in Cedar City, UT, can assist with any degree of tooth loss. Whether you need to replace a full arch or fill in gaps across your smile, Dr. Tavoian will recommend the option that fits your situation and goals.
Full Dentures
Some of our dentistry patients have complete tooth loss. Others have larger gaps than bridges and crowns can address. Also known as complete dentures, full dentures restore an entire arch of upper or lower teeth. They are held in place by suction or a dental adhesive.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures replace several missing teeth, typically too many for a bridge and too few for a full denture. Clasps that hook around your natural teeth hold them in place. This option lets you preserve the healthy teeth you still have while restoring function and appearance.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Some Cedar City dentures patients have concerns about the drawbacks of traditional dentures, from slipping and adhesive to long-term bone loss. With a denture supported by dental implants, though, you can avoid many of those downsides. Dr. Tavoian places implants right here in our office, so there is no need for a referral.
- Increased stability so you can chew, talk, and smile with confidence without worrying about slipping
- Easier daily use because implant-supported restorations are attached in place, with no need to remove them at night or apply adhesive
- Bone loss prevention because dental implants stimulate your jawbone tissue, something traditional dentures cannot do
How Can I Pay for My New Dentures?
Our dentist has helped patients like you find happier, healthier smiles since 1992. One of the ways he makes that goal a reality? Accepting multiple convenient payment options, like:
Dental Insurance
We accept most plans, and can confirm if yours is on the list ahead of time. While insurance can help with the cost of your denture itself, it will not assist with implants or sedation.
Cash or Card
Our Cedar City dentures patients commonly pair their dental insurance with cash or credit cards. These options can also be used to cover the cost of treatment in full.
CareCredit Financing
CareCredit® is a trusted medical lender offering monthly payment plans. You can choose between low-interest or no-interest options, depending on your eligibility.
A Cedar City Denture Patient's Story
"On a late Sunday night, my upper denture developed a crack. Early Monday morning I called Dr. Tavoian's office and explained my situation. Despite being a busy Monday they made room for me at 10:30. Dr. Tavoian examined my denture and told me that it could be repaired...they fixed my denture by 4:00pm and made sure that my wife and I were able to get home prior to a coming snowstorm and not have to come back the next day...I could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Dr. Tavoian to anyone."
What to Expect During Denture Treatment
Wondering what the process looks like from your first visit to your final fitting? Here is an overview of the typical timeline.
Dr. Tavoian offers both traditional and implant-supported dentures. Receiving and healing from implants will add several months to your timeline, but the process is an excellent investment in your health and oral function. The timeline for traditional dentures can go something like this:
Nerves don't have to get in the way of your new smile. Ask us about sedation for easier visits.
Your Comfort Is Our Priority Sedation Makes Treatment Possible
At our practice, Cedar City dentures patients can choose from three different types of sedation, depending on their level of anxiety. They are:
Mild Sedation: Nitrous Oxide
This safe gas is dispensed through a mask. Some of the main benefits include its adjustability and its ability to quickly leave your system. It wears off so rapidly that patients can safely drive themselves home from our dentistry practice after treatment.
Moderate Sedation: Oral Conscious Sedation
With this method, you will take a prescribed pill before your appointment. It will help you feel completely at ease. The effects take time to wear off, so you'll need someone to transport you to and from our office.
Deep Sedation: IV Sedation
IV sedation is administered through your veins and can be adjusted during treatment. Patients often have little or even no memory of their appointment. Like with oral conscious sedation, you will need to find a trusted friend or family member to take you home.
